Thursday, November 21, 2013 The Carlisle Citizen Page Seven On Thursday, October 17 th the Perry Bluejays trav- eled to town to take on the Wildcats. Tonight was the final regular season game for the Cats, and we also hon- ored our seniors. The Wildcats will host the first-round regional game vs. Knoxville on Monday Oct. 28 . We came out with a lot of positive energy which really carried us through. Offensively/Defensively this was a great night for us as we were much more productive at the net. Our passers continue to do a great job of putting up a good ball, so our setter doesn't have to work as hard to get a good set to our hitters. We also served very smart putting a lot of pressure on Perry's passers. Tonight was a truly a team win, all of our kids, from the kids on the floor to the kids on the bench, were involved and made an impact on how the match went tonight." lrs rouna o regmnals were playea on wionaay uc. z. at the Carlisle Gym. In games 2 and 4 we allowed Knoxville to have too many 4-5 point runs on us and we just couldn't respond with those kinds of runs on our side." I would like to thank our seniors (Katie Berg, Payton Mercer, Mallory Pech, Taylor Davis, Hattie Hupke, Jenna Dille, Mary Grace Wachal, Amber Coleman, and Kaitlyn Miller) for the last 4 years and the amount of time and effort that they put into the volleyball program. This group of girls had a great career here and shoul be very proud of what they have all accomplished. We wish them the very best in the remainder of their senior year and all of their future endeavours! On Tuesday, October 8 t the Wildcats hosted a Trian- gular against Ballard and Clarke. The Wildcats had a great night on the court sweeping both teams at all 3 levels. The girls did a great job of not letting little runs spiral into something big that would take us out of the set. We did a nice job of creating energy, and continuing to put pressure on the other teams by serving tough and continually attacking offensively. These were 2 (Clarke and Ballard) big wins for us tonight! Very proud of all 3 levels to getting a clean sweep tonight."
